Geologic Whitewater Adventure with Nantahala Outdoor Center

The Colburn Museum and the Nantahala Outdoor Center are teaming up once again for the fifth “Geologic Whitewater Adventure” taking place on the French Broad River.

Geologists from the Colburn Earth Science Museum will be on hand to provide interesting facts and educational information about the area's geologic history and formations while staff members from the Nantahala Outdoor Center will help you navigate the class three rapids. This afternoon is sure to be fun, wet, and informative. Price is $45 for members and $50 for non-members . Advance registration is required and all persons must be eight years of age or older.
