The Colburn Earth Science Museum is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Current board members are:
- PAMELA MCCOWN, meteorologist, director of communications and outreach for Education Research Services, Inc.
- JON NEUMANN, Area Sales Manager for Material Sales Company, Inc., an affiliate of Hedrick Industries.
- DORA NELSON, AP Biology and AP Environmental Science teacher at Carolina Day School.
- COLLEEN QUEENEY (Secretary), vice president of product management at BUILDERadius, Inc. for theBuildFax product line, and Colburn Board Secretary.
- JUSTIN PAGE, Senior Designer/Publications Coordinator at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.
